What is a Division Representative?
A Division Representative (“Rep”) acts as a liaison between the League Operators (Dan and April Shepherd), Host Location Management and players within a specific geographical area.
How will players in a division know how to contact their Division Rep?
The Division Reps name & phone number are printed at the top of every scoresheet in their division.
What are the responsibilities of a Division Representative?
•   Promote the concept and positive ways of APA
•   Educate and assist new teams in getting established, help them become familiar       with Rules, Bylaws, proper scorekeeping, etc.
•   Consistently remind players (not just captains) regarding the importance of            reading information in the team envelopes.
•   Assist Division with registration for the upcoming session.  Encourage new    membership.
•   Strongly encourage participation in APA sanctioned events, such as Top Gun
Tournaments, Singles Boards, and Regional/National tournaments.
•   Assist the League Operators with distribution of APA materials within participating
    Host Locations.
 •   Report problems (or potential problems) to the League Operators.  Make suggestions when necessary to League Operators regarding ways to improve the league.
NOTE: Division reps have no authority in making rulings and can only give advice about the rules. The Division Rep understands that League Operators are the only true authority in the Gulf Coast APA. Division reps are responsible for carrying an APA Official Team Manual and a copy of the Gulf Coast APA local bylaws in order to help accurately resolve questions that may arise regarding rules.  When in doubt, team captains are always encouraged to contact the league office at (251)219-8902.
